Fred’s Barbershop is owned by Effie and Dan, two brothers known for exceptional haircuts, precise shaves, and good laughs.

Our shop has been a local institution for decades, but you won’t find any Fred here. Dan and Effie bought the store from Fred about 20 years ago. We kept the name so people would know to expect the same great haircuts they’ve been getting since 1939. We appreciate the quality and style of the classic barbershop, so we’ve kept it going.

Great Cuts in a Family-Friendly Atmosphere

Although we take quality haircuts and shaves seriously, we keep a fun, comfortable atmosphere going here at Fred’s. We take the time to chat with our clients, learning everyone’s name. Of course, it helps that once you come for your first visit, you’ll become a regular.

We welcome men, women, and kids of all ages to stop by our barber shop in Syosset, NY. Effie and Dan will give you a professional cut, straight razor shave, or hair coloring service. Our appointments are swift, but we never rush.
